We live with our dogs who are part of our family in our old cottage at 'Egloshayle' in Cornwall.
We came into the breed eight years ago. Prior to this we have kept dogs of different types for years and indeed our six 'Chesters' live in relative harmony with our crossbred Bedlington lurcher.
Our aim is to keep a special and rare breed alive for future generations to enjoy whilst they are good family pets first and foremost and show-dogs second.
This has become even more vital since the Kennel Club classified the Manchester Terrier as a 'vulnerable breed' alongside other old British breeds of dog. It would be tragic if as a breed the Manchester Terrier became the 'dodo' of the dog world. We hope in some small way we can help by increasing public awareness of a little known breed of dog.
We are Kennel Club Accredited Breeders.
