Why did we choose Egloshayle?
Well first and foremost we
live in Egloshayle Road (In Cornish this means church by the estuary) and
therefore it seemed relevant as our cottage is situated here by
the river which is a few hundred yards from the church.
In fact as I write this I can
look over the river Camel to the bird sanctuary and see swans, waders, Canada geese and even the odd seal as it makes
its way up from Padstow after the increasingly rare salmon that you still get
in the river.
It is such a beautiful part of the country that it somehow seemed right to link it to a rare and unusual dog such as the Manchester Terrier.
(But in any case this is the affix the kennel club chose for us out of our selection of six and we really didn't think we would get it!!).
