Welcome to Egloshayle Manchester Terriers.

 I live with the dogs who are part of my family in our old cottage at 'Egloshayle' in Cornwall.

We came into the breed in the year 2000. Prior to this, we had kept dogs of different types for years from German Wirehaired Pointers, terriers of various descriptions, whippets and lurchers.

My aim is to keep a special and rare breed alive for future generations to enjoy whilst producing good family pets first and foremost and show- dogs second.

This has become even more vital since the Kennel Club classified the Manchester Terrier as a 'vulnerable breed' alongside other old British breeds of dog. It would be tragic if as a breed the Manchester Terrier became the 'dod' of the dog world. We hope in some small way we can help by increasing public awareness of a little known breed of dog.
